Landscape & bed upkeep
Bed weeding, pruning and tidying through the seasons.
Hedge & shrub trimming
Clean shapes, healthy growth and clear walkways — hedges and shrubs trimmed at the right time, in the right way, with the clippings hauled out of sight.
Keeping up the outside of your home or business matters as much as keeping up the inside, and overgrown shrubs are usually the first thing to make a property look neglected. As shrubs and hedges develop, different stems and branches push out at different rates. Getting that even, full shape takes work at the right points in the year.
Do you know how to trim shrubs correctly, or when to prune them? You don’t have to. We look at what’s growing in your yard and handle the timing and technique.
Many customers add trimming to their recurring lawn maintenance so the whole yard stays in step.
Beautiful and safe
Around a home or business you’ll often see shrubs and small trees stretching too close to the building, hanging over walkways and carports, or blocking windows, signs and driveway sightlines. Regular trimming keeps plants looking great and keeps paths clear and safe to use.
Branches near power lines are a different matter: that work belongs to your utility or a qualified line-clearance arborist, and we’ll tell you if we see a concern.
General guidance — timing varies by plant, and we’ll plan around what you actually have.
Questions
As general guidance: most evergreen hedges respond well to a main shaping in late winter or early spring, before new growth, with lighter touch-ups through the growing season. Shrubs that flower in spring — azaleas and forsythia, for example — are best trimmed right after they bloom so you don’t cut off next year’s flowers. We’ll look at what you have and time the work accordingly. More on hedge and shrub trimming.
It depends on the size of the grounds and how much you want done. A small, flat front yard that only needs mowing is a very different job from a large lot with slopes, beds and hedges. Instead of guessing with a one-size price, we learn about your property and give you an estimate for it. See what affects the cost of lawn care.
Yes. Clippings get blown off driveways, walks and patios and cleared out of flower beds, and we pick up loose debris in the areas we work. You shouldn’t have to sweep up after us.
